Bike Share Station Location Request Archived691 Whitney Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - East RockComment #1: "Members of Hooker School community could use bikes for local travel. Area residents and visitors to East Rock/Edgerton Parks, Eli Whitney Museum in Hamden, etc could also use bikes and walk short "last-mile" distances. Also reasonably close to Albertus Magnus and Wilbur Cross."

Comment #1: "I do not really get this post. Does someone need a reason to set up bikeshare in New Haven? Of course, it is a good idea. NH is very bikeable and people can get across town/around Yale faster by bike than by car."
Comment #2 “I work as a bike delivery person on Orange St. and also live in the neighborhood. This is a good spot because there is space to build it there. The street is really tight and has a lot of automobile traffic from 8am until close of business at City Hall. The right side of the street with the white lines says no parking but vehicles do stop there. Maybe you can reclaim some of that for the bike space? I will say I see a lot of bike traffic on the street during commerce hours however most of it is on the sidewalk on the block b/w Chapel and Court. I recently asked for a new bike rack on See Click Fix outside of 169 Orange. If you elect to build a bike space I would like to ask that there be signage reminding bikers of basic rules i.e. Don't bike on sidewalk, pedestrians have right of way, and travel with traffic. Thanks for your time."
