Over and over again on this site, the same homeless mess. Where are the rights of us that live, work, rent and try to live in safe areas and conditions? The homeless are out of control. START enforcing the sit, lie law and illegal dumping law.

Wow! This complaint was posted nearly a year ago yet the camp is bigger than ever. Starting to think this complaint forum and the City of Oakland are a joke and don't take any of these matters seriously.

I look at SCF as a way to document whats the city is not doing . It will probably end as a taxpayer class action law suit at some point. Oakland would be a good starting spot for this national embarrassment. 600000 plus people living on the streets.

Thanks to the Mayor, the city leaders, who refuse to address this issue. Wood and Beach St are on this site every day of the year and nothing is done. Her priorities are not with the taxpayers, they are stuck somewhere else

Ha this picture is like the good old days when there were 10 people camping on wood street, now it's closer to 40 people and the cutesy tiny houses have exploded with tents tarps and trash

Failure of city leaders

Pssh...this is nothing compared to now. There has to be at least 10 times the amount of tents, tarps, and rubbish strewn about today (June 30th), with undoubtedly more on the way before the city gov even yawns this direction.

This street is this way every single day of the year. This street is on this site, probably more than any other. I don't get how the city just ignores this and let's these encampments get out of hand. It's not working, so now another direction is needed. Give the homeless community service, quit treating them like they are fragile, they aren't, they know how to play the cat, mouse game with the city and look who is winning. There comes a time when people need to be held accountable for what they do , letting them continue to do as they please is not working.
