Description
On Saturday, my dog got injured when she bumped into the picnic table base at the park. There are bolts sticking out, and one punctured her skin, leaving a gaping hole. I had to take her to the emergency vet, and ran up a bill of almost $600 getting her wound irrigated and stapled up.
This was traumatic for her, and I can see this happening again to another dog, or a child who happens to run under the table. This is very dangerous. I am attaching pictures of my dog, and of the base of the table. One is a close-up where you can see her hair and skin still on the rusty bolt.
I really hope the city can do something to make this safer, I don't want to see anyone else get hurt.
